16th Victorian ABIA Awards 2014

Australian Bridal Industry Academy

Every year the Australian Bridal Industry Academy hosts an awards night for each state.  Brides from across the state are invited to rate their suppliers on quality and service.  Its a night for the wedding industry to dress up and go out and let their hair down.

This year i took my assistant Christen and my best friend Nathan along for the evening and we shared a table with Turbo Productions, Inka Sounds, Photorazzi & Sweet Designs by Claire.  The event was staged at the magnificent Leonda by the Yarra and if i have thought previous years were amazing i have to say that somehow they managed to make this years event even better!

The whole set-up, food and service was just incredible. The 2 of us were raving about the food all night – My favourite dishes being a toss up between the cheese souffle and the chocolate pannacotta!

The tables themselves looked fantastic with big feather centrepeices and each place setting had a mini bottle of Yellowglen Champagne and the most delicious cupcake thanks to Niko’s Cakes in Oakleigh.  We were kept readily entertained in a photobooth provided by In The Booth, SloMo Photobooth by RuffIT Media and hair and makeup station from DeRoss Makeup Artistry.

If you check this link out – https://www.youtube.com/embed/VfWA1YvPaSg you will find the 3 of us just after the 1 minute mark!  And by this stage there was a lot of wine consumed. (as if thats not obvious)

Unfortunately we didn’t take the award this year – but came third with a score of 99.02%  – i was absolutely wrapt with my score!  However a huge congratulations to Eternal Bouquets for their win.

The awards are a great way for all businesses to get a snap shot of how their clients have felt about their service and work over the previous 12 months.  We have participated for the past 3 years and will continue to do it in the future.  I would like to say thanks to all of my clients that took the time to rate my work.

A special thanks to the following businesses who helped make the night the best one yet!
